Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the Local Map Booster website and services. By placing an order or using our service, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Us

Local Map Booster (owned and operated by Kieran McCusker) provides Google Business Profile optimisation and management services, custom website design and development, and digital products to local businesses located in the United Kingdom and abroad.

2. Use of Services

When you purchase a service or digital product from us, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information (including necessary access to your Google Business Profile or website hosting).
• Use the service and digital products for legitimate business purposes.
• Not engage in activities that violate Google’s guidelines or policies.

3. Service Delivery

• Google Business Profile Services: Our services begin once payment is received and access to your Google Business Profile has been approved. Delivery times may vary depending on the complexity of the optimisation work.
• Website Builds: Timelines for website development will be agreed upon during the project onboarding phase.
• Digital Products: Digital products are delivered immediately or shortly after payment processing is complete.

4. Payments

• All payments are handled securely via WooCommerce and approved payment providers.
• All fees are clearly stated at the time of purchase. There are no hidden fees.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

• You may cancel your monthly services at any time.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed after optimisation or website development work has begun.
• Digital product sales are generally final, subject to review under our specific refund criteria.

6. Intellectual Property

All content and materials used in our service, including digital products and code developed for website builds, remain the property of Local Map Booster unless agreed otherwise in a separate written contract.

7. Limitation of Liability

We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of the use of, or inability to use, our website, digital products, or services.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will always appear at the top of this page.

9. Access to Your Google Business Profile

By engaging our services, you grant Local Map Booster manager-level access to your Google Business Profile for the duration of our engagement. You confirm that you are the owner of the profile, or are authorised by the owner to grant this access.

Scope of our management. Manager access permits us to edit business information, publish posts and photos, respond to reviews and questions, and retrieve performance data. We will act reasonably and in your commercial interests at all times, and will follow any specific instructions you give us regarding your profile.

Your responsibilities. You remain the owner of your Google Business Profile and of the business information published on it. You are responsible for ensuring that any information you supply to us — including business details, service descriptions, pricing and imagery — is accurate, lawful, and that you hold the necessary rights to it. You must inform us promptly of any changes to your business that affect your profile.

Our platform. We manage your profile using our own proprietary software, together with third-party services including Zernio, which provides our Google Business Profile API access. Our platform, its code, design and reporting formats remain our intellectual property. Nothing in this agreement grants you any licence or right in that platform. Reports and deliverables produced for you are yours to use freely within your business.

Content published on your behalf. Where we draft posts, review replies or profile content on your behalf, this content is prepared for your business and published under your profile. You may review and approve content before publication, and may instruct us to amend or remove anything published. We may use assistive tools, including AI, in preparing draft content; all content remains subject to our review and to your instructions.

Google’s terms and policies. Your Google Business Profile is governed by Google’s own terms and content policies. We manage your profile in accordance with those policies, but we do not control Google, and we cannot guarantee any particular ranking, visibility, or outcome in Google Search or Google Maps. Google may suspend, alter or remove profiles at its discretion, and we are not liable for actions taken by Google.

Third-party dependencies. Our services depend on Google’s platform and on third-party providers including Zernio. We are not liable for interruptions, delays or data unavailability arising from outages, changes or restrictions imposed by those providers, though we will take reasonable steps to restore service and to keep you informed.

Termination. On termination of our services, we will cease managing your profile. You should remove our manager access from your profile. Content already published on your profile remains in place and under your control. We will provide any final reports due, and will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
